CREATIVE

direction

As director and cinematographer, I worked closely with Amanda Wachob and the ROAM Luggage team to craft a visual story that captured the spirit of her collaboration with ROAM Luggage. The goal was to elevate the launch of this limited-edition collection by showcasing the intentional artistry behind it. This collection transformed luggage into a vehicle for personal expression, not just something you carry, but something that carries meaning.

We partnered with Amanda Wachob, a globally recognized tattoo and fine artist whose work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney, to create a film that felt more like an art release than a product launch.

With only 100 pieces in the collection, every frame had to communicate rarity, intention, and meaning. The goal was to reflect Amanda’s signature approach, bold, abstract, and deeply personal, while positioning the luggage as a true collector’s piece.

This was art and luxury combined. The film let her process lead, using light, color, and movement to tell a story of creative expression through functional design.

VISUAL

direction

Lighting was meticulously crafted for each scene to shape contrast and elevate the visual tone. We used a mix of artificial lighting sources and pushed the camera to a cool white balance to exaggerate the interplay of warm and cool tones. The color palette was moody and saturated, designed to echo the luggage’s unique aesthetic while enhancing the sense of fine art in motion. Wardrobe and styling were chosen to harmonize with both the product and location, creating visual cohesion across every frame. Macro shots played a crucial role in revealing the tiniest artistic details of the luggage, from the texture of paint to the stitching and craftsmanship. Cinematography focused on flowing camera moves, dynamic angles, and moments of visual surprise. One key moment, where Amanda sprays blue pigment toward the lens, adds a tactile beat that connects her creative process directly with the viewer.

IMPACT

The limited-edition collection sold out quickly, with all 100 pieces claimed shortly after the launch. ROAM used the film as the lead asset in their campaign, reinforcing their place at the intersection of premium travel and high design. The work resonated across fashion, tattoo and art communities. Amanda gained increased visibility among audiences outside the traditional gallery world, and the film positioned ROAM as a brand capable of delivering more than functionality. It told a story of identity, expression, and collaboration that reached far beyond product features.
